Low + steady
Your fat-use signal stayed low and changed very little. If this pattern persists alongside slowing progress, your metabolism may be stuck in a lower-response state.
A daily view of your fuel pattern
FOX2 looks at two things: how strong your fat-use signal is across the day, and whether that signal moves. Together, they can help you see when your metabolism appears responsive, when progress may have stalled, and when a persistent pattern deserves a closer look.
FOX2 shows whether your daily fat-use signal was low, medium, or high. It also looks for meaningful movement between readings, distinguishing a steady day from a responsive one.
Your fat-use signal stayed low and changed very little. If this pattern persists alongside slowing progress, your metabolism may be stuck in a lower-response state.
Your overall level is still low, but the movement suggests your metabolism is beginning to respond—a possible early sign that things are moving in a better direction.
Your fat-use signal reached the middle range but stayed relatively fixed. You are using more fat, although your day shows limited movement between fuel states.
Your signal reached the middle range and moved meaningfully. This suggests improving fuel response and an increasing ability to shift between fuel states.
Your fat-use signal stayed elevated with little movement. If appetite is very low and this persists, it may be worth considering whether you are eating enough—including enough protein.
You maintained a strong fat-use pattern while still moving between fuel states—the clearest sign of a strong, responsive daily pattern.
As your body draws more energy from fat, your liver produces acetone that leaves in your breath. FOX2 reads that signal, accumulates the day, and shows both your overall level and the movement between readings.
Each breath provides a snapshot of your current fat-use signal. A single reading is one moment, not the verdict on your metabolism.
One readingYour primary result accumulates the fuel signal across the day, making the whole day more useful than any isolated reading.
Whole-day levelFOX2 combines the daily level with the amount of movement to identify one of six patterns: low, medium, or high—each either steady or responsive.
Level + movementWhat the signal means: FOX2 detects a product of fat metabolism in your breath. It does not count calories or grams of fat burned, and dietary fat can also contribute to the signal.
For people losing weight—especially when appetite has changed substantially—FOX2 can show whether a low result looks stalled or is beginning to respond, and whether a high result is steady or still moving.
A low, steady pattern can help explain why your progress may feel stuck.
A low or medium responsive pattern can show that your metabolism is beginning to move in a better direction.
A high daily result means something different when your readings still rise and fall.
Every breath adds another point to the Daily Fuel Score. There is no rigid schedule to follow.
Your live score shows progress toward a completed daily result; it is not meant to be judged one moment at a time.
FOX2 combines your overall level with the movement between readings: low, medium, or high—steady or responsive.
Compare finished days to see whether your pattern is stalled, beginning to respond, or moving into a stronger range.
If a day does not contain enough information to identify movement, FOX2 simply reports “More data needed” instead of assigning a pattern.
The accumulated score shows your overall fat-use level. The daily graph shows whether the readings behind it stayed steady or moved between fuel states.
Level + movement
The Daily Fuel Score remains your accumulated whole-day result. Pattern analysis adds context by showing whether the readings behind that result stayed in a narrow range or moved meaningfully.
FOX2 uses a breath-derived signal to estimate fat use. It does not directly measure insulin, resting metabolic rate, muscle loss, calories, or grams of body fat burned.
Its patterns are prompts for attention—not medical diagnoses. A higher score is not automatically better; the useful information is the combination of level, movement, and direction over time.
